Healthy Homemade Tangerine Carrot Juice Gummies

The tangerine and carrot juice gummies are a healthier alternative to conventional treats. They can also be passed out as Halloween treats!

My family is a HUGE fan of gummies and fruit snacks. However, store bought gummies and fruit snacks can be unhealthy and full of sugar and artificial ingredients. YUCK! Gummies and fruit snacks are also causing cavities according to dentists! With that being said, I make my own healthy homemade gummies at home.
This recipe took me a number of tries to get it perfect. If you know my daughter, Coral, you will know that she is PICKY. If something even a little bit is off, all bets are off. She WILL NOT eat it. So, everything I make has to be perfect including those sweet potato carrot waffles.
It is full of amazing nutritional stuff like tangerine juice, carrot juice, ginger, raw honey, almond milk, and beef gelatin!
Your kids are getting all of their vitamins in with these healthy fruit and veggie gummies. Coral calls it orange gummy candy! 😉
Know what is even better? They are so delicious with a strong flavor of tangerine!
I make the gummies fun by using different molds. I have heart, flower, rectangle, and tubed molds all from IKEA. Recently, I bought these adorable monster molds and by far, they are my family’s favorite! I was concerned about how the molds weren’t deep enough like the other molds I own. Would the gummies break? To my surprise, they didn’t!
I include two or three of these cute monster gummies into Coral’s school lunchbox.
If I don’t limit the gummies, she would eat the entire monster gummies in one sitting.
I give two to Ocean as well. Every time he sees the gummies in the refrigerator, he goes wild.

Ingredients to make these healthy homemade gummies:
- 3/4 cup of tangerine juice
- 1/2 cup of organic carrot juice (make sure it is 100% juice)
- 1/4 cup of carrot and ginger juice
- 1/4 cup of milk of your choice (we prefer almond milk)
- 1-2 tbsp of raw honey (depends on how sweet you want it to be)
- 4 tbsp of grass-fed beef gelatin
Mix tangerine, carrot, and carrot & ginger juices in a small saucepan. Add milk to the saucepan. whisk together.
Turn the heat on to medium and stir until it is warm, not hot. DO NOT LET IT BOIL!
While whisking, add beef gelatin, one tablespoon at a time. Don’t stop whisking to add beef gelatin. Do them together or you would have small chunks of beef gelatin that wouldn’t dissolve.
Add raw honey. Whisk and remove from heat.
Pour into the molds. I use a spoon to pour into the molds so it wouldn’t get messy. So, you do whatever is easier.
Refrigerate the molds at least 2 hours until they are firm. Once firm, transfer the gummies from the molds to an airtight container and refrigerate for about two weeks.
I used five molds total and they yielded a big batch of about 50 gummy monsters.
If you have less than five molds, then you could cut the recipe in half. OR if you don’t have the molds, you could use any pan! Just fill the pan and refrigerate. Once it is firm, use a pizza cutter or a knife to cut into squares.
You would feel great giving your kids these healthy homemade gummies knowing that they are nutritious.
