Why I Babywear And Hope Carried Giveaway

Babywearing is a lifesaver

I am sharing about why I babywear, how babywearing saved my sanity when Coral was a baby and give away a $30 gift card to Hope Carried. Babywearing is a lifesaver!

Coral was a colicky baby. The majority of her baby stage was a blur. I was glad that I could help her to calm down, to cry less, to take a super short nap, and to be a bit happier by wearing her often and keeping her close.

Babywearing was also essential for me as a deaf mom.

It kept my hands free to communicate. I could feel if Coral was cranky, hungry, hot, etc without having to check on her often. If she napped in the car seat with a blanket covering it, I couldn’t see her. It was easy for her to get my attention when baby wearing by tapping on me.

I have to admit that I don’t know how other moms can handle lugging a heavy car seat with their baby in it everywhere. I dragged her car seat around with her in it the first few weeks after she was born. After that, never again! It was so heavy and I was sweating. Other moms had to be stronger than me for doing that much longer than just a couple of weeks. Babywearing was so easy because I don’t need to remove her car seat from the car, drag to the stores and figure out where to set her car seat in the shopping cart. I don’t have to push a shopping cart and a stroller at the same time if I chose to take a stroller along. I could just pull out the baby carrier from my purse and put Coral in it.

I breastfed Coral in public under the baby carrier. I hiked while she took a nap on my chest. When she had a broken leg and couldn’t walk, I carried her on my back. When she was clingy at home and I needed to do stuff, I wore her. I even wore her when I needed to pee in a public restroom!

Coral is now 3 years old and I don’t wear her as much now. However, once in a blue moon, she would ask me to wear her in the carrier and spin around. Every time she saw the baby carrier, she yelled in delight and it was always a positive memory for her.

Why I BabywearI jumped at the chance to work with Hope Carried to get Coral a baby doll wrap and host a weeklong giveaway, so one of my readers’ baby/toddler can experience the magic like my daughter did.

Hope Carried is a baby wearing company with a mission to help moms get back on their feet andsupport their families.

Hope Carried was born out of a love for baby wearing and desire to build a community that supports families and empowers women. By working with different organizations such as Jewish Family Services and Freedom House, I have come in contact with many women who have demonstrated a desire to contribute to their family financially. However, due to extenuating circumstances, such as lack of education or cultural restrictions, they are unable to find stable employment. I teach them how to make Hope Carried Wraps & Ring and am able to provide employment through this. – Hope Carried

Why I BabywearHope Carried sells linen ring sling, baby wraps AND baby doll wraps/slings for toddlers!

The colors available are bold, bright and colorful. The ring slings, baby wraps and baby doll wraps/slings have cool names such as Atlanta (peach color), Austin (turquoise), Milan (black & white stripes), etc!

The fabric is breathable and comfortable for both baby and adult. They’re also versatile — you can wear your baby from newborn through toddler in our wraps. Hope Carried wraps  are lighter and much less cumbersome than most name-brand wraps. And — we ship for free! – Hope Carried

Thermo-regulating with a built-in wicking property, our linen slings breathe wonderfully, keeping you warm and cozy in the winter and cool and dry in the summer. –Hope Carried

Why I BabywearOne of the reasons why I love that Hope Carried has ring slings/baby wraps available for toddlers is helping the transition to a new addition (baby) in the family easier. Being a big sister or brother is a big job. Gifting a ring sling/baby wrap to the big sister or brother to help them feel involved is an awesome idea!

Hope Carried sent Coral an Atlanta baby doll wrap and we are IN LOVE!

It is amazingly soft like silk. Extremely easy to put on Coral and have her hold her favorite baby Snow White.

Why I Babywear

Why I BabywearI had to bribe her with a homemade green popsicle to get her to stay still for the pictures. 😉 At least, there were veggies (kale and celery) in the popsicle!

Each product comes with detailed instructions on how to wear the ring sling/baby wrap and safety precautions. HopeCarried.com has a page dedicated to ‘How To Wear’ tutorials.

Grey would be good.. Neutral for us… My baby def Italy will love the wrap

  8. I LOVED carrying my babies! My daughter didn’t love it so much and that was OK since she was the first born. But my son, 2nd born, and preemie, LOOOOVED being all snuggled close. There were even some nights he wouldn’t go to sleep unless he was in his ergo. To each their own with which carrier they love best, as long as they know the proper carrying guidelines. There is nothing I can’t stand more than seeing a baby be carried way too low. Close enough to kiss is a good thing to remember!

Love it! I baby wore with both of my kids, and it was a game changer. In fact I just wore my almost one year old at the apple orchard last week. 🙂 The fact that they make wraps for toddlers is amazing! My three year old is always wrapping her doll up in a burp cloth and pretending to carry her. I love the pink color.
