Recipe: Green Nutrition-Packed Smoothie
Doesn’t this Green Nutrition-Packed Smoothie look like you just want to lick it?! I have made this for years when I need to fulfill my vegetable/fruit servings and get more energy. This smoothie is a great way to cleanse and detox your body, if you need to have more energy and to feel better overall. When I drink this daily, I feel AMAZING!
A perfect smoothie for fatigued mothers and fathers, so you can keep up with your kids!

Green Nutrition-Packed Smoothie:
- Two big handfuls of kale
- A small handful of parsley
- One celery stalk
- A whole ripe banana
- An apple or an orange (The pictured smoothie has an apple)
- A tablespoon of Chia seeds
- 1/2 to 1 cup of almond milk or Greek yogurt (if you need more protein)
First, you will need to take kale and parsley off its stalks and cut celery into one-inch pieces. Freeze them ahead of time, so they will be frozen when it is time to make the smoothie. You can also freeze the fruits if you want to have your smoothie exactly like the picture above.
When it is time to make the smoothie, toss all greens, a banana and either almond milk or Greek yogurt in your blender and blend. Add an apple or an orange and Chia seed, then blend until it is smooth.
If your smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk/Greek yogurt. If your smoothie is runny, add a little bit more banana. If all of your greens and fruits are frozen, your smoothie is guaranteed to be THICK.
Pour the smoothie into your favorite drinking cup and add a straw.
